Where We Came From and Where We’re Going…

Elements[Chicago] was born out of a conversation within a faith community – one that believes in the intrinsic value of the spirit. And so we asked ourselves what it would look like if we discussed inherently important ideas without cloaking it in religious dogma or forced religion. You see, it is our desire that we be a community that lives by faith, is known by love and is a voice of hope, engaging every interaction with grace.

At Elements, what happens on stage is meant merely to be the catalyst for conversation. The conversation is not meant to end once the speaker ends or the interview ends… So what we aspire to do here is facilitate a textured event, with multiple layers of engagement & conversation (art, interview, video, Q&A), where ultimately we will turn it over to you guys and cultivate an overarching conversation that will evolve into smaller conversations following the night. You see, our belief is that through this experience, Elements[Chicago] will be the catalyst not just for life change but also for societal change, as this community intentionally embraces and wrestles through ideas of identity, hope, justice, culture and influence.
